Spring Exhibitions

Wow, that was quite a month of April, full of March showers, exciting exhibitions and ditto photo shoots. Thank you all for your visits, enthusiastic reactions and purchases in Namur, Ostend and Knokke. Over the next few months we will continue in Aalter, Ghent, Ostend, and in France: Perpignan and Oiron…. welcome!

Happy to contribute to an original initiative: the UNIQUE exhibition for charity at Flooat.gallery, 6 – 7 May from 10 am to 6 pm. You can bid on works by Leen Van Dierendonck, Renaud De Poorter, Oerboer, Batt, Sandra Ruyssinck, Sofie Baert, Ygen Meida, Johannus Vlerick, Elfie Kristiana and myself – the proceeds will go to TEJO, an organisation that provides free therapeutic care for young people. Flooat.gallery, Zuidleiestraat 38, Aalter.

Where have all the flowers gone? A question Marlène Dietrich asked herself, and which we try to answer with a lot of artists in the fantastic gallery S. & H. De Buck in Ghent. I show my Metamorphosen there in the exhibition Sag mir wo die Blumen sind with Johan Clarysse, Hans Defer, Siegfried De Buck, Ingrid De Mecheleer, Marie-Paule Haar and many others… a must-see! Opening: Sunday 7 May 15h in the presence of the artists. The exhibition in Ghent runs until 17 June, Thursday – Friday – Saturday 15 – 18h, Zuidstationstraat 25 Ghent, and will be resumed at Le Studio, 12 rue du Square, Oiron (Plaine & Vallées, FR) – opening 14 July at 11h. This exhibition in Oiron ends 30 August. www.galeriedebuck.be

The exhibition GENESIS at Galerie Papillon Ostend with works by James Ensor, Panamarenko, Joel Person, Frederic Fontenoy, Pascal Berthoud, K. von Klingenberg and myself runs until 28 May, every Friday-Sunday from 2-6pm. I show a selection of 6 brand-new works and you can acquire a limited edition of the above-mentioned work Ostend Reine des Plages at a very democratic price until 1 May – still a few copies available. My ‘Treasure Hunt’, presented as an LED lightbox, is literally one of the highlights of the exhibition Egypt – la Passion des Mondes at the Muséum de l’Histoire Naturelle, Perpignan, which, in addition to an original Egyptian mummy (legitimately acquired!), also features works by Francis Gazeau, Phil Monk, Régis Perray, Guy Ferrer, Françoise Commails Plane, Pierre Filliquet… 13 May – 31 December 2023.
